Modular DIY Design

• The DY40UW module is designed to enable users to create a fully customized camera system. Its 15 cm flexible ribbon cable allows for the discreet installation of the compact system in any desired location. The recording module is integrated into the control unit, which also features a high-quality Automatic Gain Control (AGC) microphone. The 5 MP UHD camera, located at the end of the ribbon cable, is exceptionally small, with dimensions of just 9 mm x 9 mm x 9 mm.

Wi-Fi Connectivity and Smart Control Options

• The new PV-DY40UW features Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing users to connect the device to an Android or iOS smart device via a dedicated app. This enables full control of the camera and the ability to view live video and audio streams. Additionally, the camera is equipped with a one-button control function, enabling manual or Wi-Fi-based operation. For even greater convenience, the system comes with a PI-RF60 remote control for seamless operation.

4K UHD Resolution and Recording Capabilities

• Unlike many other devices, the PV-DY40UW records video at up to 3840 x 2160 4K UHD resolution (25/30 frames per second), providing ultra-clear and smooth video along with excellent sound quality. Through the Wi-Fi app, users can also select 1080p or 720p resolution, achieving up to 120 frames per second. As with all LawMate covert recording devices, video footage can be timestamped with the date and time to ensure evidential integrity. Recorded footage can be viewed by connecting the camera to a computer using the included USB cable or by inserting the SD card into a card reader. Alternatively, video files can be viewed and downloaded wirelessly using the LawMate app (P2P only).

• With Wi-Fi connectivity, users can instantly review recorded video footage on a smartphone or tablet, as well as live-stream video up to 5 meters away. Wi-Fi also allows for the wireless download of captured content. The dedicated app provides complete control over the device, including video resolution settings (4K/2.7K/1080p/720p), time and date synchronization with the smart device, SD card formatting, and start/stop recording functionality.
